About this book

I was his wife—and his secret surgeon. He used me in bed while loving another. When I left, he finally realized he loved me. But it was too late. Now he’s broken, begging for forgiveness. Will I go back to the man who shattered my hands and my heart?

Chapter 1

"Doctor, I want cervical dilation surgery."

The young girl kept her head lowered in the consultation room.

Her voice was barely audible.

I set down the medical chart, feeling surprised.

Over my years in practice, I've treated many patients.

Most came for cervical reduction surgery or hymen repair.

It was rare to see someone actively requesting dilation.

"Why do you want this procedure?"

The girl's cheeks flushed red.

Her voice dropped even lower.

"My husband... is too large."

"It's painful every time. I don't want him to suffer."

I gestured for her to lie on the examination table.

The results were unexpected.

Her condition was completely within normal range.

Surgery was entirely unnecessary.

"Your physical condition is fine. You don't need surgery."

I patiently explained.

"You can gradually adapt through other methods."

But the girl stubbornly shook her head.

"He holds back every time. It hurts me to see it."

Those words made me freeze momentarily.

I thought of Liam Roscente.

His size was also unusually large.

Every intimate encounter left me injured.

My face grew warm. I forced myself to focus.

Just as I was about to schedule the surgery, the door swung open.

A familiar figure entered my line of sight.

The girl rushed over joyfully.

"Husband!"

I stood frozen, my blood running cold.

The man she called husband.

Was my own spouse of two years, Liam Roscente.

...

Liam held the girl tightly, his brow furrowed.

"If my secretary hadn't seen you at the hospital, would you really have gone through with the surgery?"

His tone held reproach, but more concern.

The girl pouted委屈ly.

"But you always suffer so much..."

Liam gently caressed her cheek.

His gaze was tender enough to melt.

"Silly girl, just being with you is enough for me."

"Those desires mean nothing. I'd rather go without forever."

The girl's eyes welled up with感动.

They embraced tightly, completely ignoring my presence.

Liam's attention remained entirely on the girl.

He didn't even notice me standing there.

I felt like an unnecessary observer.

Just last night, he was whispering in my ear.

His body pressed tightly against mine.

Taking me again and again.

Now he claimed he'd remain celibate for another woman.

"Let's go home."

Liam took the girl's hand, but she held him back.

"Husband, I still want the surgery."

She shyly lowered her head.

"I want to make you happy. I want us to have a baby."

Liam was firm.

"No. I won't let you endure that."

During their discussion, a pen rolled off the desk.

Liam turned at the sound and finally saw me.

His pupils contracted sharply.

But he quickly regained composure.

"Be good, go home first."

He hurried the girl out, leaving me standing there.

My entire body felt frozen.

I never imagined Liam would betray our marriage.

Reality had torn away the facade in the cruelest way.

Tears blurred my vision.

I covered my face, shoulders trembling slightly.

A knock came at the door.

The nurse announced the next patient.

I quickly wiped my tears.

Forcing myself to focus, I continued working.

Finally, my shift ended.

I dragged my exhausted body home.

The house was completely dark.

As I reached for the light, arms wrapped around me from behind.

A familiar scent washed over me.

It was Liam.

He didn't give me a chance to speak.

He pinned me to the couch immediately.

I struggled fiercely.

"Don't touch me!"
