Chapter 1

After my parents' divorce in my first life, my sister chose to live with our dad—the son of a billionaire—while I stayed with our stay-at-home mom. A few years later, Dad blew through his fortune thanks to his gambling and womanizing, and his own rich father finally cut him off. My sister ended up nearly killed by our psychotic cousin, Chase Chen, who broke her leg and left her for dead at a construction site.

Meanwhile, under Mom's guidance, I built a career as a famous food blogger, landing endorsement deals left and right. Jealousy consumed my sister—so much that she eventually pushed me off a skyscraper.

And then I woke up. Back to the day my parents divorced.

This time, my sister rushed toward Mom before I could even speak. Clutching Mom's leg, she cried, "I want to stay with you, Mom! I don't care if it's hard."

I almost laughed. I'd already lived that nightmare—let her try it this time.

Dad frowned, watching my sister cling to Mom like a lifeline.

"Ashley," he said, "life with your mother won't be easy. You're used to nice things. You should come live with me."

Mom shot him a cold look. "David, you're a worthless man. The only thing you ever had was your father's money. Anyone stuck with you is doomed."

To my surprise, Ashley nodded along. "Mom's right. I believe in you. We'll make our own way!"

Last time, she'd sided with Dad and mocked Mom right along with him. But now I caught the sly smirk on her face. She'd been reborn too.

Furious, Dad snapped, "Fine. Go. But don't come crying to me when you can't take it."

My sister rolled her eyes. "I won't regret it. With you, I had nothing. With Mom, I'll live like a queen."

Dad moved to slap her, but Mom stepped between them.

"We agreed to let them choose, David. Are you taking it back now?"

I tugged gently on Dad's sleeve. "I want to stay with you, Dad."

His expression softened instantly. Patting my head, he said, "Smart girl. With me, you'll live like a princess."

My sister sneered and grabbed Mom's hand. "Enjoy your princess life while it lasts, sis."

I kept my voice calm. "This was your choice, Ashley. I hope you don't regret it."

She flinched, then shot back, "I won't! And don't you come crawling to me and Mom later."

Mom gave me one last icy glance. "From today on, Ashley is my only daughter."

Ecstatic, my sister pulled her toward the door. "Come on, Mom—let's go before this ungrateful brat changes her mind."
