Arthur Lowell hid in the dark to eavesdrop on my intimate moments with Ethan Sullivan—all because he wanted me to bear a son.
When caught, he threw a tantrum, calling Ethan useless. Furious, I was ready to kick him out right then.
But Ethan grabbed my arm. "This calls for a live demonstration..."
The moment Ethan got home from work, he rushed our two-month-old daughter, Emma, to the nursery and asked Arthur to watch her.
Then he practically dragged me into the bedroom and shut the door.
He hadn’t touched me since the birth. These past two months, I’d been craving his touch—especially while nursing.
But then I saw it—a pair of eyes gleaming in the darkness. My blood ran cold. I shoved Ethan away and clutched my collar.
"E-Ethan… there’s… someone in the closet..."
"Don’t be ridiculous. Come here, baby." He dismissed my fear.
The eyes at the door gaped again. Any desire vanished. I pounded his chest, pale-faced.
"Ethan, I swear—someone’s there!" I pointed at the closet.
Finally sensing my terror, Ethan stopped. He snatched the nightlight from the bedside table and hurled it.
BANG!
A shriek erupted from the closet. I yanked the covers over my head.
The closet door creaked open. In the dim light, a shadowy figure emerged halfway.
